Description

 

HIGHPOWER Validation Testing & Lab Services, Inc., a Henrietta, NY based validation laboratory is looking for a full time Facilities Coordinator.   Candidate should be energetic, organized, and will provide support keeping the building and its equipment maintained and safe for use. The ideal candidate should have attention to detail, excellent communication skills, learn quickly, and be a team player.

 

The chosen candidate will work directly for the company’s Operations Manager.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with:

 

  • Providing support in any way necessary of the maintenance of utilities and auxiliary equipment (generator, air compressors, heating and ventilating systems, steam generator, etc.) within the building as well as the external grounds.
  • Work within the company Quality Management System concerning the preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with installation of new equipment.
  • Oversee/coordinate with subcontractors that are required to perform services on the building and all equipment to maintain compliance and safety standards.
  • Assist with facility improvements and projects that could involve assembling furniture, equipment, loading/unloading, painting, general repair, etc.
  • Solicit quotations for building services not performed internally & manage contracts (waste removal, landscaping, etc.)
  • Assist as back up for Shipping & Receiving department by shipping goods & materials externally and receiving/inspecting raw materials, supplies, or customer samples into the Quality Management System.
  • Travel off site to purchase supplies for the company.
  • Be available or “on call,” during nights or weekends on an infrequent basis.
  • Perform any duties as requested by Operations Manager or Executive Management.

 

 

Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday.

 

Minimum Hiring Qualifications: High School Education with minimum of 2 years relevant maintenance-related experience in a building or warehouse environment.  Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and the use of Microsoft Excel.  Position requires frequent movement and walking around the building, must be able to lift over 25 pounds.

 

Salary: $21-$24/hr.
